Mr. Aset Issekeshev was born on August 17, 1971 in Karaganda. In 1994, he graduated from the law faculty of Kazakh State University followed by graduation from RK Presidential Supreme School for State Management in 1998. Mr. Issekeshev has held a variety of functions within government including serving as Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning from November 2002 to June 2003; as Vice Minister of Industry and Trade since 2003; as Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “Kazyna” Sustainable Development Fund” since 2006; and as Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan since August 2009. As of May 2009, he is serving as Minister of Industry and Trade.
