Yutaka Kase is President & CEO of Sojitz Corporation, one of Japan’s leading worldwide general trading companies. Since joining Sojitz Group in 1970, Mr. Kase has held leadership roles in various business segments, including the Forest Products and Chemicals and Materials divisions. He has also honed his corporate skills through posts in Human Resources, Corporate Planning, and Investor Relations. His management background includes heading overseas operations in New Zealand as well as in the United States. Mr. Kase is currently Vice Chairman of the Japan Foreign Trade Council, Inc. He received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tokyo University in 1970.
